Smile design / wax-up review (where required)

For multi-tooth cases, a laboratory wax-up or digital smile design may be recommended so you can preview the outcome before any irreversible treatment is started. The exact fee depends on the number of teeth involved and is quoted in writing.

From £150.00From £75.00

Multi-tooth totals shown are illustrative — calculated by multiplying the per-tooth fee. The exact number of teeth veneered, and the material chosen, are agreed with you after clinical assessment. Our monthly dental membership provides 50% off the per-tooth fee; see membership terms for full details.

What's Included in Your Veneer Fee

Every veneer case at Smile Dentist London is carried out by a GDC-registered dentist and includes the following.

Smile design & shade selection

We discuss your goals, take photographs, and agree shape, length and shade together. For multi-tooth cases a wax-up or digital smile design may be recommended so you can preview the outcome before any irreversible treatment.

Conservative tooth preparation

Composite cases often require little or no preparation. Porcelain cases require a small amount of conservative reduction so the ceramic veneer can sit flush with your bite — generally less than for a crown.

Temporary veneers (porcelain cases)

Between the preparation and fit appointments, custom temporaries protect the teeth, allow you to test-drive the new smile and let us refine the final design if needed.

Laboratory fabrication (porcelain cases)

Porcelain veneers are individually crafted by a UK dental laboratory technician from medical-grade ceramic — this is included in the per-veneer fee.

Fitting, bite check and bonding

Each veneer is tried in, the fit checked, the bite carefully adjusted and the veneer is then bonded with high-strength dental adhesive.

Follow-up review

A short review appointment is included where clinically appropriate, to check the veneers have settled and to polish margins if required.

Veneers are often suitable for

  • Discolouration that has not responded to whitening alone
  • Small gaps or minor crowding affecting the front teeth
  • Chipped, worn or uneven tooth edges
  • Teeth that look short or pointed
  • A comprehensive smile makeover across the front teeth

Veneers may not be the best option when

  • Underlying decay or active gum disease is present — these are treated first
  • A tooth is significantly broken down or root-treated — a crown or onlay may be more appropriate
  • Significant crowding or bite issues are present — orthodontics may be considered first
  • You grind your teeth heavily — a night guard and grinding management may be needed first
  • You want only colour change — whitening may achieve your goals more conservatively

The right choice always depends on a clinical assessment by your dentist, who will explain the realistic options and risks for your individual situation before any treatment is agreed.
